Perché il St. Jude

Il St.Jude Children’s Home nacque ad Anaka, nel distretto di Gulu, nel 1981 e rappresentò l'avverarsi di un grande desiderio di una maestra d'asilo: Bernardetta Akwero.

I bambini inizialmente accolti non erano ancora gli orfani della guerra e dell’AIDS, ma piuttosto le vittime di mali comuni a moltissimi bambini dell’Africa, quelli cioè dell’estrema povertà e della mancanza di un futuro sereno>

Thank You to the people of Sligo!

Could we take this opportunity to thank the Cathaoirleach of Sligo Jude Devins, Dara and all our generous friends from Sligo (Ireland) for your recent donation to our home. Can we specially mention Andy Donaghy, Fergal Quinn, Shane Filan, Sean Muldoon and all of the other auction prize donors and buyers who raised over € 19,000 for our children. We will use this money to complete our own primary school and kitchen building and to ensure all our children get an education.

We wish to extend an invite to all of you if you wish to come and visit us at our home in Uganda.
